Standing Firm in Faith: Embracing Your Calling

Updated: Feb 12

Standing When Told to Sit

Many people face moments when their vision or calling is questioned. Friends may doubt, family may distance themselves, and strangers may label your work as a scam. This kind of rejection can shake anyone’s confidence.

Yet, faith is not about waiting for applause or approval. It is about standing firm when the crowd says to sit down. The choice to keep going despite rejection is what separates those who build lasting change from those who give up.

For example, consider someone who starts a community project that others dismiss as unrealistic. They may face skepticism, lose support, and feel isolated. But by continuing to show up and work with purpose, they create something meaningful that eventually gains recognition.

Building Freedom Without Permission

Freedom is often misunderstood as doing whatever you want without limits. True freedom comes from building something valuable even when others say it won’t work. It means creating opportunities and solutions without waiting for permission or validation.

This kind of freedom requires boldness. It means taking risks and trusting that the path you are on has purpose. Many successful movements and innovations began with people who refused to wait for approval. That is what it is for me.

A practical example is an entrepreneur who launches a new product despite industry experts warning it won’t succeed. By focusing on their vision and customer needs, they build a business that changes lives and opens doors for others.

Choosing Purpose Over Pride

Obedience to a calling often means choosing purpose over pride. It means accepting rejection without bitterness and continuing to serve even when it’s difficult. This mindset builds strength that cannot be bought or taught. And boy, was that difficult! But, you can overcome.

The journey includes moments when loved ones doubt your intentions or question your decisions. It can feel lonely. But trusting in a higher purpose provides the fuel to keep moving forward. That's faith! After all, this was all started because of a flame in me that hated the injustice going on with my family, friends, and peers, but they couldn't see it.

My story illustrates the kind of person who faced repeated rejection in their career but kept pursuing their passion because they believed it was their calling. Over time, persistence led to opportunities and relationships that once seemed impossible as I write to you today. People do come around, and you must have the mindset and attitude to meet them.

The Strength Found in Obedience

Obedience builds strength that no amount of training or advice can replace. It is a strength born from experience, sacrifice, and trust. When you obey a higher calling, or your vision, for those who don't believe in a higher being; you develop resilience that helps you face future challenges with confidence. But spiritual grounding is recommended for best way to navigate the emotion trials.

This strength is not about physical power or status. It is an inner strength that sustains you when external support fades. It is the quiet confidence that comes from knowing you are on the right path, even when it is hard. Setting it in your mind that you will see it through no matter what! NO MATTER WHAT!

Staying Present and Serving

Faith and freedom are not just about personal success. They are about serving others and staying present in the work you are called to do. The people who once dismissed you may become your partners or supporters as your vision unfolds.

Remaining humble and committed to service opens doors for reconciliation and growth. It shows that your work is not about proving others wrong but about fulfilling a purpose greater than yourself. Believe me, you may go through both sides of this emotional roller-coaster, but the gravity of who you become when you step into yourself is more joyful and amazing than you could ever imagine. Try it!

Moving Forward with Faith

The journey of faith and freedom is ongoing. It requires daily decisions to trust, obey, and build good habits. It means standing when told to sit and creating when told it won’t work. Having the mental fortitude to not be easily shaken or moved, even when it feels scary.

If you find yourself facing doubt or rejection, remember that obedience builds strength you cannot buy. Keep moving forward with purpose and trust. Your faith will carry you through, and your freedom will grow as you build without permission.

Embracing Your Journey

Your journey is unique. Each step you take is a testament to your commitment to your calling. Embrace the challenges and celebrate the victories, no matter how small. Every moment shapes you into the person you are meant to be.

In conclusion, remember that faith and freedom are intertwined. They guide you to create a legacy that lasts. By standing firm, building without permission, and serving others, you empower not only yourself but also those around you. So Keep creating, Keep dreaming, Keep believing. It really is up to you.
